Classes are small and individual attention is given.
Two and a half hours supervised study is held each night.
Pupils are prepared for the Sacrament of Confirmation and Entrance
Assessments each year.

The
aim of the school is to give a broad education through the medium of
the Irish Language to each student who attends the school and through
this education to foster in each student a love and respect for the
Irish language, culture and traditions.

The modern school
buillding consists of classrooms, study hall, computer room, staff
room and boys' dormitories, replaced previous prefabricated rooms. It
was officially opened by the Minister for Education
in October 1994.

Scoil na nÓg
provides a wide range of subjects including Irish, English, Maths, History,
Geography, Social and Environmental Studies, Civics, Art and Craft Activities,
Music, Speech and Drama, P.E., Computer Studies, French, German and
Latin. It also has outstanding games facilities, including indoor heated
swimming pool, gym hall, tennis/basketball courts and games pitch.

The
school tries to inculcate in each student an attitude of respect for
oneself and others and tries to help each student develop into a well
balanced, trustworthy and informed person, with independence and initiative.
To this end students are encouraged to participate in team games and
drama.

Day Boarding
- Five day week
- Monday to Thursday 9.15am - 8.15pm, Friday until 3.00pm
- Meals, Supervised study, games and access to recreational facilities are included.
Full Boarding
Pupils go home on Friday afternoon after school at 3.00pm.

Tá banc scoile i Scoil na nÓg agus moltar do gach dalta a chuid airgid a chur sa bhanc seo. Ní ghlacfaidh údaráis na scoile freagarthacht as aon airgead nach gcuirfear sa bhanc seo.
All pupils are advised to deposit their pocket money in the school bank. The School does not accept responsibility for money which is not deposited in the school bank.
School Rules
The attention of parents is directed to the following school rules of the school:
- The Managment reserves the right to resign the charge of any student whose progress or behaviour is unsatisfactory.
- All pupils must return to school on thte appointed first day of each term.
- Leave of absence during term will only be granted in exceptional circumstances.
- Students may not absent themselves from the school or school grounds without the Principal's permission.
- Notice is required in writing prior to the removal of a student from school or the discontinuance of an optional subject.
- Pupils may make or accept telephone calls between 5.00 to 5.30pm and 6.00 to 6.30pm
- Smoking is strictly forbidden.
- CD Players, Ipods, MP3 players or Radios are not allowed. Hair straigteners are also forbidden.
Fees:
All fees are payable in advance. The school term is divided into two terms:
September - January and February - June
Fees include
- On campus medical care;
- Games - skills and training; inter school competitions (Sciath na Scol);
- Study - supervision and assistance.
